Disability Equality Index: A Focus on Findings from the 2023 DEI Report

Wednesday, August 16, 2023 - 12pm - 1pm Eastern

The Disability Equality Index (DEI) has become the most widely used and comprehensive benchmark of corporate disability inclusion programs, policies and practices since its inception in 2015. Participation in the U.S.-focused DEI has grown 6x from 80 companies in its inaugural year to 485 in 2023, and the DEI is now trusted by more than 70% of the Fortune 100 and nearly half of the Fortune 500. The DEI aggregates responses from companies spanning 30 industries on topics ranging from Culture & Leadership; Enterprise-Wide Access; Employment Practices; Community Engagement; Supplier Diversity; and Non-U.S. Operations (unweighted). Additionally, the DEI embarked on a two-year global pilot in 2021 which saw responses from 98 companies across 66 countries during the multi-year unscored pilot phase.

This session will dig into key insights and findings featured in the recently-published 2023 Disability Equality Index Report which presents disability inclusion practices from the U.S. DEI on an adoption continuum from Pilot Programs to New Imperatives to Emerging Trends to Foundational Practices and outlines categorical insights from the two-year Global DEI pilot.
