Webinar - Disability Indigenous: The Inclusion of Disability at the Intersection of Indigenous Identity

Wednesday, November 6, 2024 - 12pm - 1pm Eastern

While disability intersects with every racial and ethnic group, certain populations are impacted by disability in ways and at rates that differ from others. The Native American and Indigenous population is reported to be 50% more likely to have a disability than the national average, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This webinar will celebrate the contributions and stories of Native Americans with disabilities for Native American Heritage Month while also unpacking the unique factors that lead to higher rates of disability among indigenous populations.
